Union Transport minster intend to reach 40 km a day road construction target

Nitin Gadkari is very determined to reach his dream target 40 km a day road construction rate. Currently it is 23 km per day but he is determined to achieve the target sooner. He expressed that he set a record of 23 km a day against 2 km a day of previous government.

8144 km of road length is constructed in the last financial year and he promises to finish infrastructure projects worth 25 lakh crore in coming 5 years.    Gadkari stated in the press conference that these policies add a lot of scope of development to cement and steel industries. Till the end of March, the ministry has already allocated a budget of 5.5 lakh crore to roads and ports departments. Central Government has decided to expand the length of National Highways to 2 lakh kilometers from 96000 km presently.

Decision making of Central Government hasa speeded up for finishing infrastructure projects. It also has plans to lay express routes between Delhi-Katra, Delhi-Jaipur etc. and intends to complete those lanes by August 15 Gadkari said.
